Guard House
Oral tradition has this small gambrel roofed building standing at the edge of the pond as a farm structure and that General Prescott used it as quarters for his guards during his occupation of Overing House.
In 1840 it was moved to the rear of the main house to replace an ell, which was destroyed by fire. NRF moved it to it current site in 1971 where it contains a small collection of Pilgrim furniture and allows view of the interesting early 18th century frame on the unfinished second floor.
